G-Dragon Denies Rumor of Making Comeback in Japan

G-Dragon's side stated, "Nothing is confirmed" regarding his plans for activities in Japan.

On the 3rd, Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon‘s agency, told OSEN, “G-Dragon is planning a comeback in the second half of the year, but it won’t involve activities in Japan.”

On that day, one media outlet reported that G-Dragon would hold concerts and fan meetings in Japan this year. Galaxy Corporation has established a branch in Japan and is fully dedicated to preparing for G-Dragon’s activities in Japan.

Regarding this, Galaxy Corporation stated, “We established the Japan branch in September last year. It’s a company that was set up before signing a contract with G-Dragon.” They emphasized, “Of course, we will support G-Dragon’s activities in Japan. However, the establishment of the branch was not specifically for G-Dragon’s activities in Japan.”

Furthermore, concerning G-Dragon’s start of activities in Japan, they cautiously stated, “It is true that we are planning a comeback in the second half of the year. However, it’s not limited to Japan; when we make a comeback, wouldn’t we naturally go to Japan as well?” They added, “There are no confirmed plans for concerts and fan meetings in Japan. While it’s possible once activities begin, it’s difficult to formalize at this point.”

Especially regarding the world tour, they remarked, “We are considering it, but nothing is confirmed.” It’s an assertion that there are no officially determined details such as when the world tour will take place or which countries it will cover.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon left YG Entertainment, where he had been for 17 years, in December last year and signed an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation, Korea’s first AI metaverse company. He is currently actively preparing for his album aiming for release in the second half of the year.
