G-Dragon (Kwon Ji Yong) has once again proven his iconic status not just in music but in fashion. The Korean superstar has been named one of the “Best-Dressed Celebrities of the 21st Century” by leading American media outlet Complex, standing out as the only Asian figure to make the prestigious list.
In a recently published feature, Complex curated a list of 25 individuals whose style has defined and influenced fashion trends in the 21st century. The lineup includes actor Timothée Chalamet, business mogul and influencer Kim Kardashian, Justin Bieber, and rapper Travis Scott, among others.

G-Dragon ranked 16th, impressively placing among some of the most globally recognized style icons. Complex highlighted the artist’s pivotal role in shaping the global perception of K-pop fashion, noting: “These days, it feels like every major fashion house has a K-pop star as its global ambassador. But those who’ve been around since the early days know that G-Dragon set the standard.”

They further praised his trendsetting nature, referencing his early adoption of now-revived silhouettes: “He was consistently ahead of the curve. Before the Nike Air More Uptempo experienced a revival stateside in the 2010s, he was getting snapped in OG pairs of the iconic ’90s basketball silhouette.”
Since his debut, G-Dragon has been at the forefront of fashion evolution in Korea and beyond. In 2016, he made history as the first Asian male star to be named a global ambassador for luxury house Chanel, a role he continues to hold with pride.

Beyond fashion, G-Dragon remains active on the music scene. He is set to hold an encore concert for his “Übermensch WORLD TOUR” at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from December 12 to 14, promising a powerful finale to his global tour.
