G-Dragon Announces Voluntary Police Attendance On Nov 6th In Third Statement

Singer G-Dragon issued a third statement, revealing the date of his voluntary drug investigation attendance

On October 31st, G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong)’s legal representative released another official statement, saying “Kwon Ji-yong decided to voluntarily attend the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division on November 6th to actively receive investigation so that it can proceed quickly and fairly.”

They continued, “We hope the media and press will show a responsible attitude when reporting the news to prevent the spread of false information and irreversible damage to Kwon Ji-yong, a representative K-pop artist in Korea”.

Lastly, G-Dragon’s side stressed, “In this regard, we will take firm responses against the spread of groundless speculations, false information, and defamation until the end”.

Earlier on the 25th, the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency’s Drug Crime Investigation Division booked G-Dragon without detention on drug charges. Two days later, G-Dragon denied all the drug allegations through his legal representative, saying “I didn’t take drugs and I have nothing to do with news reports about violation of the Narcotics Control Act”.

In the second statement issued on the 30th, the male idol emphasized, “As I already clarified, I have never taken drugs”. He appointed a lawyer and submitted a letter expressing his intention to voluntarily attend the police and cooperate with the drug investigation, including doing the hair and urine tests, in order to resolve injustice as soon as possible.

Moreover, G-Dragon also announced strict legal responses against speculative and false reports, as well as defamation postings on YouTube and SNS.
