‘Former military cook’ EXO D.O becomes the main chef and shows off his cooking skills on “No Math School Trip”

EXO D.O (real name Do Kyung Soo) transformed into the main chef and cooked Abura Soba for “No Math School Trip” members.

SBS’s “No Math School Trip” broadcast on April 20th showed EXO D.O transforming into the main chef and preparing dinner for the members. Zico recommended D.O as the main chef to prepare dinner so D.O asked Yang Se Chan to cook Budae Jjigae (Sausage Stew) with him.

Upon arriving at their accommodation, D.O explored the kitchen and said, “The induction stove is so large”. He then pulled out a pot from the cabinet and put in water first. Yang Se Chan joined D.O in the kitchen, saying “What can I do to help you?”. After successfully turning on the induction stove with Zico’s help, D.O became the main chef and led the cooking.

As Crush approached, asking “What should we do now?”, D.O told him to “measure 15 minutes from this moment” for poached eggs. Seeing D.O’s amazing cutting skills, the members poured out compliments. Choi Jung Hoon asked D.O, “Can I just cut in any way?”, then focused on cutting onions.

Yang Se Chan exclaimed, “Since we have Kyung Soo, the roles are divided well”. He looked around the kitchen and commented, “If we open a restaurant like this, who knows it would be a huge success”. Lee Yong Jin added, “They are so good at cooking. They don’t even look at the recipe”.

D.O quickly completed his signature dish Abura Soba. The members praised D.O’s cooking skills, saying “It looks like something they would sell at restaurants”, “How can he cook this good?”, etc.

When Choi Jung Hoon asked D.O, “How did you manage to distribute the food in each bowl so well?”, Zico replied, “He has been working in teams for a long time and is already used to dividing up tasks”.

Even before tasting the dish, Yang Se Chan continued to exclaim, “It smells like restaurant food”. Trying Abura Soba for the first time, Crush commented, “It’s so delicious”, praising D.O.

Choi Jung Hoon agreed, “I’m not joking, this is the best food I’ve had in Japan”. Surprised by the taste of D.O’s Abura Soba, Yang Se Chan once again said, “How can it have the taste of a restaurant-level food?”

Lee Yong Jin jokingly said, “Let’s open a Soba restaurant with me when we return to Seoul. Let’s do a small business in Apgujeong. I’ll give you 9 points”, drawing laughter. Yang Se Chan’s Budae Jjigae was also well-received. Zico said, “This Budae Jjigae feels like a ‘hangover soup’ while I’m drunk on Abura Soba”.
