On May 13th at midnight KST, B.I unveiled a teaser poster announcing the release of his new single ‘Tasty.’
In the poster, B.I exudes bright and cheerful summer vibes. The cool blue color of the song title ‘Tasty’ and release date heightens anticipation for B.I’s upcoming track.
‘Tasty’ marks B.I’s first single release in six months since his global EP ‘Love or Loved Part.2’ released in November last year. Collaborating with hitmaker Malibu Babie, who worked with Nicki Minaj, their synergy is worth anticipating.
Prior to the release of the song, B.I will surprise fans by performing ‘Tasty’ at the first show of his Asia tour ‘HYPE UP’ in Seoul. Anticipation is rising among fans for B.I’s live performance of ‘Tasty’.
Since his debut as a member of iKON in 2015, B.I has garnered much love. However, in 2019, he became embroiled in allegations of purchasing marijuana and LSD, between April and May 2016, and subsequently consuming some of it.
Following this, B.I withdrew from iKON and terminated his exclusive contract with YG Entertainment. After a period of self-reflection, he was sentenced in September 2021 to three years in prison, suspended for four years. Alongside this, the court ordered him to complete 80 hours of community service, attend 40 hours of drug treatment lectures, and pay a fine of 1.5 million won.
In June of the same year, while under investigation for drug charges, B.I released a solo album and donated all proceeds to vulnerable groups domestically and internationally.
B.I is scheduled to release his new single ‘Tasty’ on all domestic and international music streaming platforms on May 20th.
