Former I.O.I’s Jeon Somi Surprises with Appearance on “Boys Planet” and Shares Empathy for Trainees’ Struggles
Jeon Somi made a surprise appearance on Mnet’s survival show “Boys Planet” as a star master.
On April 7th, the third survivor announcement of “Boys Planet” was broadcast live on Mnet’s official K-POP YouTube channel. Ahead of the announcement of the 18 trainees who will be appearing in the final live broadcast on April 20th, Jeon Somi unexpectedly appeared as a new star master.
Jeon Somi expressed her support for the trainees who are going through physically and mentally challenging times on “Boys Planet.”
Jeon Somi said, “I understand how you feel because I also had a similar experience of disliking this studio. I participated in the survivor announcement held here, so I can fully empathize with you.”
She added, “I hope you can hang on a little longer until the end.”
The list of the 18 trainees who will advance to the final live broadcast will be announced on the show’s upcoming episode aired on April 13th.
Jeon Somi rose to fame after winning the first season of Mnet’s “Produce 101” in 2016, debuting as a member of I.O.I. After the group’s disbandment, she has continued to pursue a successful solo career.
