Former ASTRO Rocky mourns the late Moonbin, “Please appear and talk with me”

Rocky, a former member of boy group ASTRO, revealed his sincere feelings towards the late Moonbin via an emotional letter.

On April 19th, ASTRO Moonbin left this world, and his agency Fantagio has since set up a memorial space at their building. In this space, which will be maintained until April 30th, current ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo, SEVENTEEN members, and various other celebrity friends of Moon have left letters, and former ASTRO member Rocky (real name Park Minhyuk), is no exception.

In particular, in his letter, Rocky wrote, “Brother, it’s me, Minhyuk. Counting the time we have been together, it has been 13 years. That’s a really long time. Just as it has been a long time, we also had a lot of memories together. Looking back, even the tough times were fun, because I was with you. We have been through a lot…”

He also recalled his memories with the late Moonbin and added, “I still cannot believe that you are no longer here for me to confide in. Even if it got hard to breathe, I’ve held on well, seeing that I could smile immediately when we are together. “

“My brother, how do I dance now? Who do I talk to about worries and concerns?”, Rocky wrote, adding, “It’s worrying, I think I am having a difficult time… please appear and talk with me, even if it’s through my dreams. I will wait. Rest a while and please appear.”

Finally, he concluded by saying he misses Moonbin a lot and confessing his love. “Let’s meet soon”, the male idol also said.

In 2016, Rocky debuted as a member of ASTRO and was the main dancer alongside the late Moonbin. He withdrew from ASTRO in March, after his seven-year contract with Fantagio expired.

On the other hand, the late Moonbin was found dead at his home in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of April 19th, at 25 years old.

At the time, the idol’s agency, Fantagio, said, “Moonbin suddenly left us and became a star in the sky. We know the deceased’s heart better than anyone, as he always loved and thought of his fans, which makes it even more heartbreaking.”

Upon receiving the sudden news, ASTRO members Sanha and Jinjin immediately visited the funeral home, as did MJ, who was in military service. Meanwhile, Cha Eun Woo, who was in the United States for a schedule, quickly returned to Korea. Rocky, who had left the group, also bid farewell to Moonbin together with his former groupmates.
