“Forecasting Love and Weather” Song Kang: “I change my hair to change my image,” Park Min-young: “The handsome Song Kang is gone”
“Forecasting Love and Weather” actor Song Kang said, “I challenged this new hair to transform my image, I look like a fool.”
On the afternoon of Feb 11th, the production presentation of JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Forecasting Love and Weather” “directed by Sunyoung and Cha Young-hoon) was held on Naver Live streaming channel.
Joining the production presentation are Park Min-young who plays Jin Ha-kyung, the general forecaster who leads the general department 2 of the Meteorological Administration with the thoroughness of work, self-management, and everything; Song Kang who plays Lee Si-woo, the special manager of the Meteorological Administration Department 2, who usually looks clumsy but shows amazing concentration as his eyes change when it comes to weather; Yoon Bak who plays Han Ki-jun, the former fiance of Jin Ha-kyung and the notifier of the Korea Meteorological Administration’s spokesperson’s office; Yura, who plays Chae Yoo-jin, Lee Si-woo’s girlfriend, and a weather reporter for the Moonmin Ilbo who is always extreme; and director Cha Young-hoon.
Song Kang said, “I played the role of Lee Si-woo, a guy who is usually eccentric but sincere when it’s about the weather. When I read the script, I laughed a lot. Lee Si-woo is a clumsy and weird character, but he seemed to fit me well. Unlike my previous work, he is a cheerful and bright character in this drama, but he also cut his hair really short. On one hand, I looked like a fool. Turns out there’s something I lack, too. I enjoyed this role because I thought I could show many new aspects,” he said.
In response, Park Min-young said, “When I saw Song Kang on the 1st filming day, the handsome friend with wide-open eyes was nowhere to be found. There was only a young man with foggy eyes and messy hair. I was surprised and told PD Cha Young-hoon, “No way, there are a lot of viewers who want to see Song Kang’s face,” I was worried about his visuals, and since then, Song Kang has walked around with such curtain on his hair,” making everyone laugh.
“Forecasting Love and Weather” is a romance drama about the work and love between people at the Meteorological Administration who are hotter than tropical nights and more unpredictable than local heavy rains. Starring Park Min-young, Song Kang, Yoon Park, and Yura, the drama is written by Sun-young, author of KBS2’s “Drama Special – Miracle,” and directed by director Cha Young-hoon of KBS2’s “When the Camellia Blooms.” It will premiere at 10:30 p.m. on Feb 12th.
