FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena Receives Rookie Award At Golden Disc Awards, “I Want To Thank CEO Jeon Hong-joon”

FIFTY FIFTY and ZB1 were announced as winners of Rookie Artist of the Year at the 38th Golden Disc Awards held at Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia at 8:30 p.m. on January 6th (KST).

Taking the stage to receive the trophy, FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena shared, “I’m so honored to receive the rookie award, which is an award that can be received only once in my whole life. I want to express my gratitude to CEO Jeon Hong-joon, Attrakt family, my parents and family members for always supporting me”.

Continuing her acceptance speech, she said, “I’m always thankful to fans who always helped me stand up again. Thank you so much. I’ll repay you guys with good music and albums in the future. Thank you”.

This award also marked a new beginning for FIFTY FIFTY. After gaining huge popularity with the hit song “Cupid” last year, the members filed an injunction to suspend their exclusive contract with Attrakt, leading to the group’s long hiatus. After the long dispute, Keena was the only member who returned to Attrakt, while Saena, Ara and Sio’s contracts were terminated.

ZB1 won two awards, including Rookie Artist of the Year and Album Bonsang. The group shared, “Thank you so much for the award. We won’t forget this honor and will continue to work hard”.
