FIFTY FIFTY’s agency sues “Unanswered Questions” interviewee for “defamation”

FIFTY FIFTY’s agency Attrakt took legal action against an individual who appeared in a false interview on SBS’s “Unanswered Questions”

According to Attrakt, this person claimed to be an internal source and made false statements about the agency’s CEO Jeon Hong-joon.

The broadcast in question, titled “Billboard and Girl Groups – Who Broke Their Wings”, aired on August 19th and dealt with the FIFTY FIFTY tampering incident. It received a significant number of complaints to the Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) this year, resulting in the program being labeled as the most complained-about show.

The individual in question, referred to as “A”, made statements that were not factual during the broadcast. The agency Attrakt stated that these false statements damaged trust in CEO Jeon Hong-joon as well as his reputation.

Attrakt’s legal representative, lawyer Kim Byung-ok, stated that A’s claims were clearly false and were detrimental to Jeon Hong-joon’s image and reputation, emphasizing that the CEO’s efforts and sincerity had been reduced to mere image-making.

Attrakt announced their intention to pursue criminal charges against A for the false interview, as A’s identity and connection to the agency are unclear. The agency’s strong legal response reflects their determination to protect the CEO’s reputation and take action against the false statements made in the interview.
