CEO Ahn Sung-il, who was accused by FIFTY FIFTY’s agency Attrakt (CEO Jeon Hong-joon), has been sent to the prosecution after the allegations of crimes against him were acknowledged.

Attrakt announced on Feb 16th, “Recently, we received a notification from the Seoul Gangnam Police Station stating, ‘The case in which you filed a criminal complaint against Ahn Sung-il for obstruction of business and destruction of electronic records has been acknowledged as a crime and sent to the prosecution (without detention).’

Earlier, on June 27th last year, Attrakt filed a criminal complaint against The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il for obstruction of business, destruction of electronic records and business misconduct.

An official from the agency stated, “After 8 months since filing the criminal complaint against The Givers’ CEO Ahn Sung-il, the first police investigation has finally been conducted. We are confident that additional evidence of Ahn Sung-il’s criminal allegations will be revealed, as the investigation into the case of embezzlement, forgery of documents and use of forged documents, filed on July 7th last year, is still ongoing.

FIFTY FIFTY initiated legal disputes by filing for an injunction to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract with Attrakt last year. The members raised issues with Attrakt’s opaque settlements and took legal action, but Attrakt raised suspicions of tampering by The Givers and Ahn Sung-il. Subsequently, the court ruled in favor of Attrakt, and member Keena returned to Attrakt, abandoning the appeal.

Accordingly, Attrakt notified the termination of contracts to artists Saena, Sio, Aran and filed lawsuits for damages amounting to 10 billion won. Moreover, they are in the process of forming FIFTY FIFTY’s 2nd generation, centered around Keena.
