FIFTY FIFTY, new members revealed “Silhouette teaser video full of excitement”
FIFTY FIFTY, which had announced their reorganization as a five-member group, released teaser content that heightens anticipation for their comeback
At midnight on July 24th, FIFTY FIFTY unveiled a teaser video featuring the silhouettes of Keena and the new members through their official YouTube channel.
Unlike the previous photos that only showed the number of members from the back, this time, a silhouette teaser video was released.
The video starts with Keena’s voice saying “Hide well, I can see your hair“, followed by the members laughing and playing hide and seek with her. The joyous laughter and carefree running around, with the four members hugging Keena and laughing together, added to the excitement for their future activities as a five-member group.
Moreover, in this silhouette teaser video, the members’ faces are faintly visible through opaque glass, with parts of their eyes and lips briefly revealed.
A representative from their agency ATTRAKT stated, “All the members are working hard to prepare the album and show a better side of themselves. We hope you look forward to the upcoming content that will be revealed sequentially.”
FIFTY FIFTY, aiming for a new leap forward after member reorganization, previously made headlines by entering the Billboard “Hot 100” chart just 4 months after their debut.
The title track “Cupid” of their first single “The Beginning: Cupid” showed an upward trend by ranking 94th, 85th, 60th, 50th, 41st, 19th and 17th. Gaining word-of-mouth popularity, “Cupid” even entered domestic charts and became a “global fan pick”, achieving meaningful records such as the shortest time to enter Billboard and the longest stay on the “Hot 100” chart among K-pop girl groups.
However, from the end of June last year, FIFTY FIFTY members filed for an injunction to suspend their exclusive contracts with their agency ATTRAKT, citing “violation of settlement data provision”, “forcing schedules despite unfit conditions for activities” and “lack of support necessary for entertainment activities”.
Additionally, it was revealed that the group’s Korean name and the members’ names were applied for trademark registration, which tarnished FIFTY FIFTY’s image as a group that betrayed their agency.
Nevertheless, the court dismissed the injunction application, stating that there were no settlement payments yet, the omission of settlement details was corrected within the period, and the agency allowed hospital treatment and adjusted schedules after confirming health issues.
Following this, the members showed their intention to appeal by independently creating SNS accounts, but Keena returned to the agency ATTRAKT.
The news of FIFTY FIFTY’s reorganization centered around Keena was delivered in June. ATTRAKT conducted a private audition to find new members, resulting in four new members joining, making FIFTY FIFTY a five-member group. FIFTY FIFTY is set to make a comeback in September.
