According to a recent report by music mundial, FIFA expressed their desire to have BTS as the singer to perform at World Cup’s opening ceremony.
In fact, BTS is also expected to release a song for the 2022 FIFA Qatar World Cup as Hyundai’s global ambassador.
FIFA has also entrusted many world-class singers to perform at World Cup’s opening ceremony in previous years. Robbie Williams sang “Let Me Entertain You” to celebrate the official opening of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. At the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Jennifer Lopez performed the official theme song “We are one” with Claudia Leitte and Pitbull.
Meanwhile, the 2022 Qatar World Cup will begin on November 20th. Considering the fact that the temperature in Qatar is over 40 degree Celsius in summer, the World Cup will be held in November for the first time.
