In a stunning display of support for the expanding influence of K-culture, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton made headlines by providing a private jet for Stray Kids member Felix to attend the launch ceremony of the Presidential Committee on Cultural Exchange held on October 1 in Goyang, South Korea.

“Thank you for the private jet. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t’ve seen the beautiful show. You’re the best,” Felix wrote on Instagram, tagging Louis Vuitton staff alongside photos of him aboard the exclusive flight.

This unprecedented gesture from a global fashion giant illustrates not only Felix’s immense star power but also the cultural value K-pop artists now represent in international diplomacy and branding. Industry insiders estimate the cost of the Paris–Incheon flight to be upwards of ₩300–400 million KRW (approximately $220,000–$290,000 USD) .

The reason for such urgency? Felix was double-booked—attending the Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2026 show at the Louvre in Paris as the brand’s global house ambassador, while also scheduled to perform at the South Korean cultural event. Without Louis Vuitton’s intervention, his attendance would have been nearly impossible.

In Paris, Felix rubbed shoulders with global icons like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Zendaya, Emma Stone, and France’s First Lady Brigitte Macron. Photos shared online showed Lisa capturing Felix’s moments on camera—a sweet glimpse into the camaraderie among K-pop’s elite.
Felix’s Paris fashion week appearance was widely praised. Dressed in a structured white leather jacket with metallic details designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, he was hailed by fashion media as one of the best-dressed guests.

Meanwhile, back in Korea, his presence at the national event symbolized more than a performance. Organized under the President’s Office, the Cultural Exchange Committee aims to amplify the global reach of Korean pop culture across music, film, gaming, and fashion. JYP’s Park Jin-young was appointed co-chair alongside Minister of Culture Choi Hee-young.

“K-culture thrives on content created by fans, for fans,” said Park, unveiling plans for a mega global festival called “FANOMENON”, set to rival even Coachella by 2028.

The event also saw attendance from major industry leaders including CEOs from HYBE, YG, SM, and JYP, signaling a united front in elevating Korea’s soft power.

However, controversy followed with reports of ticket scalping for the exclusive second-half cultural performance, despite strict government warnings. Some online users were seen offering to bypass ID checks, raising concerns about commercialization of a presidential event.

Despite the buzz and backlash, Felix’s whirlwind 48 hours—jetting from Paris to Korea and back into the global spotlight—highlights the evolving role of K-pop stars as diplomatic and cultural ambassadors. Louis Vuitton’s private jet wasn’t just luxury—it was a statement.
