On Sep 3rd, Disney+ announced, “Our new variety program Fate War 49 will premiere in 2026, marking the first-ever shamanic survival competition in Korea.”
Fate War 49 brings together 49 shamans who will test their fate through various missions in a mystical, high-stakes survival battle. By introducing the unique theme of K-Shamanism, the show aims to deliver a fresh and thrilling twist to the survival genre.

The production is helmed by the creative team behind acclaimed variety shows such as Culinary Class Wars, Let’s Play Soccer, and the I Can See Your Voice series, raising expectations for another groundbreaking concept.
The show will be hosted by a star-studded lineup: entertainers Jun Hyun-moo and Park Na-rae, actress Park Ha-sun, announcer Kang Ji-young, and Super Junior’s Shindong. They will act as direct observers of the shamans’ survival journey, bringing energy and entertainment to viewers.
With its innovative setting, Fate War 49 is set to capture attention when it officially premieres on Disney+ in 2026.
