After BTS Jungkook “abandoned” his poodle perm, some fans worry about “military enlistment”.
On June 5th, BTS Jungkook had a communication session with fans on the fan community platform Weverse from early in the morning.
During this session, Jungkook shared his detailed schedule for the day, mentioning that he was going to visit the dermatologist and work out before attending his scheduled activities.
Jungkook also shared small daily life stories, saying, “I haven’t been playing the guitar lately. I feel sorry for my instructor because I said it was fun but haven’t been in touch. I think the instructor is probably thinking, ‘What is this?’”
However, the focus of attention was shifted from Jungkook’s small talk to his noticeably changed appearance. In particular, Jungkook had been sporting a cute poodle perm, but now he had cut his hair a bit shorter.
As a result, some fans reacted by saying, “Is this finally the start of ‘hair lighting’?”, and some even jokingly asked, “Is he preparing for military enlistment?”
Earlier, during another Weverse live broadcast, Jungkook mentioned his military service while singing a military song.
At that time, Jungkook also hinted that he would gradually trim his long hair style. “When the time comes, I will gradually cut my hair shorter instead of suddenly cutting it all off. It’s called ‘hair-lighting.’ I’ll keep cutting my hair gradually, so you won’t notice it until one day you think, ‘When did his hair get so short?’ or ‘When did he shave it all off?’ I want it to feel natural for you”, the male idol said.
Meanwhile, BTS members have been fulfilling their military duties in order.
In particular, Jin and j-hope have applied for the postponement of their enlistment and started their military service. As the youngest member of BTS, Jungkook is expected to follow his older brothers and fulfill his national defense obligations in the future.
