Singer-actress IU came in 6th place with her friendship with an actress. The star who shares a transgenerational friendship with IU was revealed to be “Nation’s Actress” Go Doo-shim.

The age gap between Go Doo-shim (72 years old) and IU (30 years old) is 42 years but the two have maintained their strong friendship for a long time.

Go Doo-shim and IU got to know each other after starring in the drama “You Are The Best!” as mother and daughter. At that time, IU was in her 20s and she had a hard time carrying the pressure of playing her first lead role. Go Doo-shim was revealed to be the person who helped, advised, and encouraged IU a lot with praises.

IU also expressed her gratitude, saying “Since we starred in a drama about family together, Go Doo-shim sunbaenim seems to have become a real family to me”. 

When asked if she had a special relationship with IU on “Problem Child in House”, Go Doo-shim said, “IU’s song ‘Through the Night’ was played in our movie. She told us to just use it”, proving their extraordinary close friendship.

Go Doo-shim said, “She’s not just a small girl. She has a very generous and deep heart. Our relationship is still going on”, showing her affection for IU.

In fact, IU sends gifts to Go Doo-shim every holiday, and the two were also seen delivering coffee trucks to each other’s filming sites, giving off a warm atmosphere.
