On September 19th, Pi addressed the situation through her AfreecaTV channel, detailing her experience and the steps she took in response.
She explained that the incident occurred on September 14th, stating, “I was sexually assaulted on Saturday, and the next day I filed a complaint against the perpetrator for quasi-indecent act by force. The perpetrator is denying the allegations.”
Pi mentioned that while she had encountered the accused, referred to as A, in public settings a few times, they had no personal relationship.
On the day of the incident, she attended a group dinner where alcohol was consumed, and one of her companions arranged for a designated driver.
She intended to return to a pre-booked hotel, and her group confirmed that she was heading there safely with the designated driver before saying goodbye.
However, she claimed that when she woke up, she found A in her car, touching her. Shocked, she pushed A away and asked why A was there, to which he made excuses.
After the incident, Pi confirmed details with the designated driver and hotel staff, and reviewed nearby CCTV and dashcam footage. She alleged that A had overheard the hotel information shared by her group and had been waiting in front of the hotel, dismissing the designated driver before committing the assault.
Although the accused claims he came to help her home out of concern, Pi countered, “We only knew each other by face, and I can’t understand how he could be touching me in that situation.”
She added that she was shocked upon discovering that A is married.
