Since its premiere, “Face Me” achieved significant success, topping rankings on Japan’s OTT platform Lemino upon release on Nov 27th. It also ranked first in the drama category on Taiwan’s OTT platform FriDay, garnering attention from domestic and international viewers alike. With a focus on Korean plastic surgery, the show attracted interest early on from regions such as the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Oceania and India.
The drama was sold to over 170 countries and gained popularity on global OTT platform Rakuten Viki. Viewers on Rakuten Viki praised it as “capturing the essence of K-dramas“, with comments like, “I love medical and mystery genres, and this was truly intriguing.“
In the final episode, Cha Jung-woo (played by Lee Min-ki) and Lee Min-hyung (played by Han Ji-hyun) overcame their respective traumas. Han Woo-jin (played by Lee Yi-kyung) was revealed to have murdered Jung-woo’s girlfriend Yoon Hye-jin (played by Ha Young) due to his inferiority complex and targeted Nam Ki-taek (played by Park Wan-kyu) and Nam Hyo-joo (played by Choi Jung-un) as well.

Jung-woo reconciled with Lee Jin-seok (played by Yoon Jeong-il), who was wrongfully imprisoned in the past, and resolved their strained relationship. It was also revealed that Woo-jin stabbed himself with the scalpel Jung-woo had pointed at him, and that Yoon Seo-hee (played by Yang So-min) was drugged by Woo-jin to fake her death.
Jung-woo visited the incarcerated Woo-jin to press him further about the truth behind Yoon Hye-jin’s murder. Meanwhile, Min-hyung confronted Team Leader Choi Hyung-il (played by Lee Jae-ha), who had overseen the investigation of the case, pointing out flaws such as the absence of forensic findings in the investigation. She emphasized that Jin-seok’s fingerprints did not match those found at the crime scene, though Choi Hyung-il continued to deny wrongdoing.
A retrial for Jin-seok’s case, linked to a seven-year-old incident, revealed that the fingerprints on the victim’s neck belonged to Woo-jin. Attorney Park Chae-kyung (played by Kang Da-hyun) successfully proved this, and Jin-seok was declared not guilty following an emotional final plea. After the retrial, Jung-woo offered Jin-seok a heartfelt apology.
Kim Seok-hoon (played by Jeon Bae-soo), the director of KSH Plastic Surgery, held a press conference where he vowed to stay true to the clinic’s core purpose by combining trauma therapy with plastic surgery. Nam Hyo-joo, who had been covering her face due to burn scars, regained her confidence with Jung-woo’s encouragement, symbolizing personal growth and transformation.

The finale also touched on the struggles of a patient seeking help for scars caused by illegal procedures, highlighting the need for both external and internal healing. Jung-woo proposed working on both aspects, bringing the drama to a heartwarming close.
Viewers shared positive reactions, commenting, “I’m relieved Jin-seok was found not guilty“, “Woo-jin needs to pay for his crimes” and “Jung-woo’s transformation was deeply moving.” Many praised the happy ending, saying, “The final episode was the most emotional” and “The message that human worth cannot be judged by appearance really resonated.”
