“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” confirmed for 2nd season, but how are netizens reacting?

The announcement of a 2nd season for “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” leaves many fans fearing for an open ending.

With only 2 episodes left, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is very soon concluding, yet fans are worried about several unresolved matters and predicting that they will be tackled in season 2.

For example, the love line of the main couple needs some serious clear up, while other questions like the relationship between female lead Woo Young Woo and Tae Soo Mi, the disease of Jung Myung Seok, and the budding romance between “Spring Sunshine” Choi Soo Yeon and “Tactician” Kwon Min Soo are still left unanswered.

Fortunately, their worries have somewhat been soothed, as Lee Sang Baek – the CEO of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” production company, recently confirmed that the hit series will be getting another season.

“Thanks to your enthusiastic support, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” will return with a 2nd season, which will ideally be aired in 2024”, he said, “However, it is challenging to arrange the schedules of all actors and crew, so we will have more discussions about this.”

The CEO also added: “As long as there won’t be any schedule conflicts, our aim is to retain 90% of the original cast”.

Nevertheless, the ideal airtime of 2024 lit up hope among fans of the series, as the leading actor Kang Tae Oh will be discharged from the military in the same year, after enlisting in late August or September this year. This basically confirms the reappearance of Kang Tae Oh, they said.

On the other hand, however, many show worries that a 2nd season may mean an open ending or cliff-hanger for season 1. Some also added that if season 2 is set to air in 2024, it may be filmed earlier, so Kang Tae Oh may not appear after all.

Below are some comments from netizens:

  • I will no longer be waiting until the next Wednesdays and Thursdays and instead be waiting for 2024
  • I’m fine with multiple season, just please don’t make an open ending
  • Will watch the second season if season 1 ends well, or else I’m dropping
  • “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” just won’t be the same without Kang Tae Oh!

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo” will air its final episodes 15 and 16 on August 18th and 19th on ENA channel, as well as the streaming platform Netflix.
