In 2021, SM increasingly consolidated their position as an “entertainment powerhouse”. This year, the company’s major artists like NCT or aespa are slated to have more promotions. SMTOWN‘s 2nd world tour is also planned to take place in major cities around the world.

In addition, the artists’ worldview based on SMCU (SM Cultural Universe) will be expanded and attract K-pop fans with a futuristic concept combining with the Metaverse.

On the other hand, YG is expected to return to the Kpop race with group comebacks in 2022, starting with TREASURE. BLACKPINK is also preparing for a world tour and a new full album. Moreover, there are rumors that YG will launch a new girl group called “Baby Monster” this year.

Also in 2022, JYP is expected to see growth in ticket sales and sales during TWICE and NiziU’s world tours.  ITZY and Stray Kids also plan to hold concerts in Japan and the US.  Not only that, JYP‘s new girl group will debut in February 2022 with the first album “Blind Package“, bringing new expectations to fans.  Boy group LOUD is also expected to debut this year.

Meanwhile, in 2022, HYBE will operate on a larger scale in Korea and abroad.  ENHYPEN will release a new album “Dimension: Answer” on January 10, kicking off the comeback of HYBE artists.  BTS is planning to release an album this year and hold an offline concert in Seoul in March.

More importantly, HYBE will debut a new girl group under ADOR – led by CBO Min Hee Jin and a girl group under Source Music.  In addition, HYBE Label Japan is also in the process of recruiting members for a new Japanese boy group through an audition.
