EXO’s D.O. releases new song “I Do” today (Sep 8th)

▲ D.O.’s autumn night sensibility = The agency SM Entertainment announced that EXO’s D.O. will release his second mini-album pre-release song “I Do” on Sep 8th.

“I Do” is an acoustic pop song with a rhythmic melody. In the lyrics of the song, D.O. emotionally depicts his desire to be with the person next to him forever on a night when a meteor shower pours down.

The music video for “I Do”, which will be released along with the sound source, was produced as an extension of the music video for D.O.’s solo song “That’s Okay” released in July 2019.

D.O.’s second mini-album “Expectation” will be released on Sep 18th.

▲ Lee Mujin’s new song “Measurement Refusal” (literal translation) = Digital media studio Dingo announced that singer Lee Mujin will release a new song titled “Measurement Refusal”.

“Measurement Refusal” was produced as part of the “MBTI (personality type test) Project” in collaboration with music production company Studio Beyond and Dingo.

This song contains the message of refusing to measure MBTI and living entirely as “me” in order not to lock myself into a certain type. Here, Lee Mujin‘s solid and sweet voice as well as the highly addictive melody are in harmony.

▲ BB Girls, first fan concert next month = The agency Warner Music Korea announced that girl group BB Girls will hold their first fan concert “ONE MORE TIME” at the Donghae Arts Center of Kwangwoon University, Seoul at 6 PM on Oct 7th.

At this fan concert, BB Girls plans to show various VCR videos and corners, including the performances of hit songs released so far.

The four members of BB Girls Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji and Yuna debuted as Brave Girls in 2016. “Rollin'” (released in 2017) swept the top spots on various charts by writing a “resurgence myth” through word of mouth in 2021, about 4 years later.

When their exclusive contract with their former agency ended in February this year, they moved to Warner Music Korea and announced a new start under the name of BB Girls.

▲ British and American foreign media outlets spotlight NCT’s 4th album = According to the agency SM Entertainment, foreign media outlets such as AP News and NME gave favorable reviews to NCT’s 4th full-length album “Golden Age”.

In an article titled “What to stream this weekend”, AP News said, “All 20 members are heard on it, a rarity and feat in itself. No matter your bias, there’s a lot to love.”

NME introduced, “Over the last seven years, NCT have become synonymous with bringing an experimental flair to K-pop and ‘Golden Age’ is no different. Like 2023 so far for NCT, ‘Golden Age’ is a mixed bag of fortunes. Here’s hoping it’s a positive omen as the boyband enters the final phase of this year and a sign of ‘fantastic, so classic’ things to come.”

Billboard also announced that NCT U‘s “Baggy Jeans” topped the “Hot Trending Songs Chart”.

NCT will hold the group concert “NCT NATION” at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Osaka, Japan on Sep 9th~10th.
