On September 16, Baekhyun‘s agency, INB100, issued an apology after the male idol came under fire for smoking indoors in a restaurant.

Earlier, a video of Baekhyun smoking indoors at what appeared to be a restaurant spread online. In the video, Baekhyun is seen sitting in a corner, conversing with staff members and smoking.

Below is the full official statement from Baekhyun’s agency:

“Hello, this is INB100.

We sincerely apologize to everyone who felt uncomfortable due to the recent indoor smoking incident involving our artist, Baekhyun, that has been circulating online.

At the time, Baekhyun and our staff were unaware that electronic cigarettes were banned in Macau. During a meal with staff after the Macau performance, Baekhyun unconsciously used an electronic cigarette as the conversation deepened.

Baekhyun sincerely apologizes for disappointing many fans with his careless actions and deeply regrets this incident.

We promise to be more careful in the future to prevent such incidents from happening again, and we will not disappoint fans with such situations.

We will also strive to show a more mature side of Baekhyun in the future.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern and discomfort to many people. We are truly sorry.”
