EXID Hani’s voting certification post “This time was very difficult,” did she vote for candidate number 2?

Hani (Ahn Hee-yeon), an actress from the group EXID, is criticized for her SNS post after certifying her vote for the 20th presidential election.

Hani posted a photo of her voting stamp on the back of her hand on her Instagram account on Mar 9th, along with a caption saying, “This time was very difficult.”

Many have speculated about her caption. Netizens agreed that it was unnatural for Hani to finish her caption with “this time.” Some interpreted that the phrase “this time” means her support for candidate No. 2 Yoon Seok-yeol.

As criticism grew, Hani added the phrase “vote” after “this time.” However, Hani‘s caption was spreaded to many online communities and resulted in a political controversy, due to which Hani eventually deleted the photo.

In addition to Hani, many celebrities are being witch-hunted for supporting Yoon. MONSTA X’s Min-hyuk was suspected of being a Yoon supporter after using the “red heart” emoticon on his fancafe.

SF9 Dawon was also misunderstood after changing his private messenger ID to “2 Sanghyuk” (his real name Lee Sang-hyuk‘s last name is pronounced the same as number 2 in Korean).

In response, Minhyuk publicly expressed his position that he was unpleasant. “Don’t give meaning to useless things,” he said through his fancafe, “It’s a waste of time. Just see it as it is. I already told you a few times that I don’t talk about politics because I’m an idol, so don’t accuse me of these things. I have no such intention and I never talk about that outside even if I have any opinion,” he said.
