“EXchange 2” Lee Na-yeon, victim of unauthorized diet pill advertising “I’m posting this in case there are people who might be deceived”

On Jan 4th, Lee Na-yeon posted an advertisement containing her face through her SNS. Along with this, she expressed anger, “This company has been making unauthorized and false advertisements using my ‘Refrigerator Interview’ appearance video since last year.“

She continued, “I’m posting this in case there are people who might be deceived and buy the products, possibly harming their health. In particular, many illegal advertisements related to diet pills are circulating. All diet pill advertisements except for the products I endorse are illegal advertisements.”

In January last year, Lee Na-yeon appeared on the YouTube web entertainment show “Refrigerator Interview” and revealed that she weighed over 60kg during her study abroad in the United States. She shared, “I lost 20kg, going from over 60kg to over 40kg. I watched my food, exercised on an empty stomach. I did the traditional way. And tried diet pills. Even oriental medicine and anorectics. But that wasn’t good for health.” The diet pill company that Lee Na-yeon warned about used her story as part of their advertisement without permission.
