Ex-NCT Lucas Opens Official SNS Account, Solo Activities Begin?
Lucas, who left NCT due to a private life controversy, draws attention as he’s taking steps to resume activities
An X account with Lucas’s name was recently opened. The profile picture is still default and has not been updated, however, it has a blue verification indicating that it’s affiliated with SM’s account and an account belongs to an artist under SM Entertainment. This proves that this will later become Lucas’s official account.
As of 7:30 a.m. on February 21st, this account already surpassed 20,000 followers.
Making his debut as a member of NCT U in 2018, Lucas gained huge popularity after participating in promotions of SuperM and NCT’s unit WayV.
In August 2021, he suspended all activities due to the controversy over his private life. Claiming to be Lucas’s ex-girlfriend, A disclosed that she had been gaslighted by the male idol. B, who said she had a romance with Lucas at the same time as A, also exposed Lucas’s gaslighting behaviors.
2 years later, in May 2023, Lucas released a handwritten letter revealing his decision that he would withdraw from both NCT and the unit WayV. SM Entertainment also announced that Lucas will continue his career as a solo artist.
However, he has not carried out any activities since the announcement, except for a photo he posted in December last year.
