Ex-IZ*ONE Kim Min-joo is cast for MBC’s “Joseon’s Marriage Ban”

Kim Min-joo continues her acting career with a historical romantic comedy this time.

According to a report on Jun 8th, Kim Min-joo recently confirmed her appearance in MBC’s new drama “Joseon’s Marriage Ban” (literal title).

Earlier, it was reported that actors Kim Young-dae, Park Joo-hyun, and Kwon Hyun-bin were also offered to appear in “Joseon’s Marriage Ban,” and the audience is paying attention to whether these four names will appear together in this work.

“Joseon’s Marriage Ban” is a fusion romance historical drama based on a web novel of the same name by author Chun Ji-hye. The drama tells the story of King Lee Heon, who orders a marriage ban after losing his wife 7 years ago, and marriage fraudster Ye So-rang, who claimed she can be possessed by King Lee Heon’s deceased wife.

“Joseon’s Marriage Ban” has recently been confirmed in MBC’s upcoming programs. Regarding this, the production company Bon Factory said, “We are adjusting the schedule with the goal of broadcasting within this year.”

Previously, Kim Min-joo was selected as a finalist in the Mnet survival show ‘Produce 48’, which was broadcasted in 2018. She then debuted as a member of the girl group IZ*ONE, and has been active asd a member of the group until their disbandment last year.

Kim Min-joo also took on various acting challenges in the past, having appeared as the child version of Moon Gayoung in MBC’s “Tempted” before ”Produce 48” and later cameoing in the web drama “A-Teen Season 2”. For now, Min-joo is pursuing an acting career, and expectations are high for “Joseon’s Marriage Ban”, which will be her first role after 3 years.
