Ex-EXID Kang Hye-yeon settled 100-million-won debt “I feel sorry to my parents”

Singer Kang Hye-yeon confessed that she settled a debt of 100 million won while working with the groups EXID and BESTie

On the Feb 13th episode of MBN’s “King of Singers”, the second round of the finals to select the top 7 national representatives was held.

On that day, Kang Hye-yeon chose the song “Bring Back Youth” by singer Shin Haeng-il and expressed her apologies and gratitude to her parents. She said, “My parents supported me a lot because I wanted to do music since I was little. During the last settlement when I was in a girl group, the debt exceeded 100 million won per person.”

She continued, “Until then, it hurts my heart because my parents provided financial support. I feel most sorry to my mother when I was an idol. Didn’t my mom and dad sacrifice their youth for me? I want to repay them well since I’m doing well now.”

However, Kang Hye-yeon did not make it to the top 7 national representatives on that day. She unfortunately ranked 8th after Byeol Sarang and was eliminated. The victory went to Jeon Eugene.

Jeon Eugene shed tears, saying, “Just coming this far is a great joy and gift for me, but receiving such a big prize makes me feel that I need to work harder in the future. Thanks to the fans who gave me the courage to stand on stage again, I came this far. I am grateful.
