Evidence Suggests Ahyeon Won’t Rejoin BABY MONSTER

It is still uncertain whether Ahyeon, who could not debut due to health reasons, will be able to join BABYMONSTER

On the 30th of last month, a video containing the behind-the-scenes footage of the music video shoot for BABYMONSTER’s debut song ‘BATTER UP’ was released on the group’s official online channel.

After the music video shoot, the 6 members (Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Lami, Rora, Chiquita) headed to a place with a coffee cart. However, Ahyeon’s appearance could not be found on the posters and banners on the cart.

There is another noteworthy scene in the video. Rora is seen writing the names of the members on the lockers in the background of the music video, and at this moment, Ahyeon’s name is also missing. The subtitle reads ‘Rora writing the members’ names herself.’ Some interpret this scene as Ahyeon being excluded from BABYMONSTER.

Ahyeon gained popularity as a member resembling BLACKPINK’s Jennie, and since her public appearance in February, she has been dubbed the ‘ACE.’ YG, which announced BABYMONSTER’s debut without Ahyeon, has stated that they will spare no effort to support Ahyeon so that she can come back in good shape. Amid various rumors such as ‘withdrawal rumors’ and ‘transfer rumors,’ curiosity grows about whether Ahyeon will be able to join BABYMONSTER.

BABYMONSTER’s debut song ‘BATTER UP’ set a record for the highest number of views within 24 hours for a debut music video in the history of K-pop groups. As of 3:00 PM on the 1st, the music video has garnered 52 million views, showing significant popularity.
