Evidence Revealed HYBE Stole NewJeans’ Louis Vuitton Deal for LE SSERAFIM?

A court document about the HYBE-ADOR case has emerged, rousing suspicious of HYBE stealing NewJeans’ Louis Vuitton Deal.

On June 3, a topic titled “Judgment regarding the HYBE-ADOR Louis Vuitton ambassador deal” was published on the Korean forum theqoo, attracting over 47,000 views and 500 comments within just a few hours.

The topic attached an excerpt from a court document regarding HYBE and ADOR’s conflict about a Louis Vuitton ambassador deal, which reveals that HYBE negotiated a new contract for LE SSERAFIM with an overseas luxury brand, despite such luxury brand already under contract negotiation with NewJeans, leading to a conflict of interest.

It also alleged that the HYBE branding team lied to ADOR and the Louis Vuitton agency separately in order to appoint LE SSERAFIM as the ambassador, but ADOR discovered this action. As a result, ADOR contacted the agency to fix the situation and filed a complaint to HYBE, leading to HYBE acknowledging their mistake and giving ADOR 3 months’ worth of commission.

However, as ADOR and Louis Vuitton fact-check their contract, HYBE accused ADOR of “leaking internal documents” and submitted the exchange to the court.

Upon seeing this court document excerpt, netizens and fans alike are shocked and leave scathing comments against HYBE. Below are some comments from netizens:

  • So everything Min Hee-jin said turns out to be true?
  • HYBE is seriously going too far…
  • They really tried to steal a contract meant for NewJeans to LE SSERAFIM. Dirty play all the way
  • HYBE never failed to exceed my expectations when it comes to scumminess
  • Wow, HYBE specializes in stabbing people in the back

However, there are people who argued that while HYBE’s claims about ADOR leaking internal documents were rejected by the court, it doesn’t mean that ADOR’s claim about HYBE stealing the contract were true, so the aforementioned situation are more speculations than confirmed fact.
