On October 22, a new video titled “Eugene ♥ Tae Young on the Brink?! Couple Balance Game” was uploaded to the couple’s YouTube channel, “Eugene VS Tae Young”. In the episode, the pair played a lighthearted “balance game” until the production team introduced a more provocative segment titled the “Marital Crisis Balance Game.”
One tricky scenario posed to the couple was: “Would you rather find out your partner is still in contact with an ex, or that they keep photos of their ex?” Eugene calmly responded, “I keep photos of my exes,” catching everyone off guard.

Rather than reacting negatively, Ki Tae Young replied, “I think that’s better. It’s weirder to still be in touch with them.”
When the crew suggested that people could stay in touch without emotional attachment, Ki Tae Young clarified, “What matters is whether the spouse is okay with it or not. If they’re uncomfortable, it needs to stop.”
Eugene agreed, stating, “You can be friends with an ex, but if your partner doesn’t like it, you shouldn’t keep in touch.” However, she stood by her stance on keeping photos: “But keeping photos? I think that’s okay.”

She elaborated, “If I open up an old diary, there are pictures inside. I don’t throw it away. That was my life, my memory. It’s all a part of me and stored somewhere in here.”
As the staff reacted in surprise, Ki Tae Young offered a grounded perspective: “I don’t dwell on the past. Who even has a clean past? The past is just the past.”
The candid exchange between the celebrity couple sparked interest among fans, praising their mature and honest communication style once again showing why Eugene and Ki Tae Young remain one of Korea’s most admired celebrity couples.
