Incredible Form, Unshakable Spirit
Having just lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy over a month ago, PSG now prepares to end their historic season with another prestigious title. Enrique shared his excitement at the press conference: “We’re heading into the last match of the season with a very positive feeling. It’s important to end this historic season in the best possible way. It’s important for us, for the club, and for our fans.”
He added, “We made history in Paris and now we want to continue that journey. If I had to summarize the entire season, I’d say it has been extraordinary.”
“We Don’t Need One Star, We Need Eleven”
When asked about the departures of superstars like Mbappé, Messi and Neymar, Enrique stood firm: “This team doesn’t need a single star—we need eleven, maybe even thirteen, fourteen, fifteen. That’s the commitment we’ve made to the club leadership. We want the collective to be the star.”
He continued, “At Parc des Princes, every supporter is a star. There will be times we fail, but our path is clear—we want stars who serve the team.”
“I’m Not a Star” – Enrique Remains Grounded
When asked whether he considered himself a star, Enrique modestly replied: “A star? Not at all. I never was one as a player, and I’m not one now. I thrive when things get tough. Criticism motivates me more than praise ever could.”
Though this season may be his most successful yet, he stressed that only a win in the final would make it complete.
Respect for Chelsea
Enrique refused to underestimate Chelsea, praising their structure and manager Enzo Maresca: “This won’t be an easy game. Chelsea are strong, technically skilled, and physically imposing. They press well, defend solidly, and finished fourth in the Premier League. We have a lot in common, and I expect a tough match.”
PSG’s Total Football Ambition
Enrique was also proud to hear his team’s play likened to “total football”: “The best compliment I’ve received was from people who said they enjoy watching PSG play. That’s the kind of football I want us to produce—for the fans to enjoy. If we can do that and win more trophies, we can truly begin a new era.”

With that, PSG sets their sights on finishing a record-breaking season on the highest note—with the Club World Cup title in hand.
