ENHYPEN’s “Golden Disc Awards” Performance Accused of Plagiarism by Foreign Artist

While fans were captivated by ENHYPEN‘s impressive stage at the recent Golden Disc Awards held in Jakarta, a controversy has arisen when an artist, Mobiius, came forward, asserting that the music used in ENHYPEN’s performance had plagiarized his work without giving proper credit or reaching out for permission.

In a video, Mobiius explained that ENHYPEN’s dance break at the Golden Disc Awards featured his original song “Choke,” and despite multiple videos on the group’s official channel incorporating his track, there was no acknowledgment or communication from BE:LIFT LAB and HYBE.

In another video, Mobiius highlighted the similarities between ENHYPEN’s dance break music and “Choke”. While some might dismiss it as a coincidence, Mobiius insisted that BE:LIFT LAB may have had a producer create a song for ENHYPEN, but instead of obtaining proper rights, they opted to make slight alterations to avoid copyright issues and licensing fees.

Mobiius explicitly directed his criticism towards both BE:LIFT LAB and HYBE while absolving the ENHYPEN members of any blame.

These allegations led to anger among netizens and even ENHYPEN fans, with some asserting that the similarities were not merely resemblances but a direct copy of Mobiius’ work.

Fans have been demanding an official response from BE:LIFT LAB, as this issue not only disrespects the original artist but can also affect ENHYPEN’s image.
