Chef Edward Lee stated, “In the US, I participated in various competitive programs when I was young. After those experiences, I did not want to enter another cooking competition. However, when I was invited to this large-scale cooking contest in Korea, I felt honored and wanted to be a part of it.” He explained his reasons for joining the show.
Edward Lee, who draws inspiration from fish when cooking, shared, “Growing up in the US, I ate a lot of Korean food, along with a variety of cuisines from America to Italy. But I always remembered the flavors of Korea and spent a lot of time trying to recreate them. There are so many diverse tastes and thoughts, but I always reflect on everything I see, everyone I meet, my life, and my history for inspiration. I always return to the taste of Korean food. The flavors of Korean cuisine are intertwined with my soul,” highlighting the roots of his creative cooking.
