Drama Couples Face Dating Rumors Due To Excellent Chemistry: Kim Soo-hyun & Kim Ji-won, Lee Se-young & Bae In-hyuk

Kim Soo-hyun was recently embroiled in Lovestagram rumors with actress Kim Ji-won. It all started when Kim Soo-hyun suddenly deleted his SNS photos.

On July 1st, Kim Soo-hyun posted on his personal SNS account several photos taken during his Asian fanmeeting tour. Among them, two pictures showed Kim Soo-hyun taking a selfie with a cell phone and waving at the camera. However, some netizens pointed out that Kim Soo-hyun’s photos looked very similar to the ones Kim Ji-won took when attending a recent fashion brand event in Taiwan.

Later, Kim Soo-hyun hurriedly deleted the controversial photos without an explanation, causing netizens to suspect his Lovestagram with Kim Ji-won.

Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won played a married couple in tvN’s drama “Queen of Tears”, which ended in April. “Queen of Tears” became a big hit in terms of ratings as the last episode reached 24.9%, which is the highest rating record in tvN history. The popularity of the drama continued even after it ended. 

Two months after “Queen of Tears” wrapped up, a pop-up store for the drama took place at a department store in Yeouido, Seoul. In addition, dating rumors of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won due to their amazing chemistry as BaekHong Couple “Queen of Tears” are still making headlines on social media, certifying the popularity of the drama.

Another drama couple also faced dating rumors due to the popularity of their project. It was Lee Se-young and Bae In-hyuk of MBC’s Fri-Sat series “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”.

“The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” ended in January with the final episode achieving 9.3% nationwide and 9.4% in the Seoul area. Apart from its high ratings, the drama even won three trophies at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards, including Best New Actress (Joo Hyun-young), Excellence Award, Actor in a Miniseries (Bae In-hyuk) and Top Excellence Award, Actress in a Miniseries (Lee Se-young).

In particular, many viewers even raised suspicions of a romantic relationship between Bae In-hyuk and Lee Se-young because of their perfect chemistry as ParkHa Couple in the drama and at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards. At the award ceremony, the two won Best Couple and Lee Se-young said, “I used to win Best Couple with Lee Jun-ho, right?”. Suddenly, she held Bae In-hyuk’s hand and waved while saying, “I’m married to a new man now”. Even after the interview, the two continued to show off their couple energy by holding each other hands tightly, stimulating fans’ delusion.

However, Lee Se-young later refuted dating rumors and explained, “I think it is because our chemistry was so good”. In an interview, Bae In-hyuk also shared, “I found it funny”, adding “First of all, I didn’t even know about the dating rumor. Half a day went by then someone contacted me and asked, ‘Is it real?’. While wondering what they were asking about, I got to know about the dating rumor. It was just funny. I believe that it happened because of our chemistry and what we did at the awards ceremony. I didn’t consider it (dating rumor) as something bad. It was actually an interesting experience”.
