On January 10, Lee Sung-kyung, affiliated with YG Entertainment, conveyed a compassionate gesture by extending a helping hand to those in need.
In particular, according to YG Entertainment, Lee Sung-kyung donated 100 million won (approx 75,000 USD) to Dankook University Hospital in December of last year.
This donation was made in connection with Lee Sung-kyung’s participation in the SBS drama “Dr. Romantic 3”. In the drama, Lee Sung-kyung played the role of Cha Eun-jae, a surgeon at the Doldam Hospital, leaving a deep impression.
Lee Sung-kyung, who shared such meaningful news, expressed the significance of the donation, saying, “Through my appearance in a medical drama, I became interested in trauma treatment, a crucial aspect of essential healthcare”.
The actress also shared that she wanted to help the medical community develop in trying to save trauma patients through her donation.
Known for her warm heart and good influence, Lee Sung-kyung has been contributing greatly to society in various ways, such as donating to help victims of COVID-19, wildfires, floods, etc., doing challenges to raise funds for aiding single mothers, low-income families, vulnerable children, children with cancers, and donating profits from OST songs.
