According to CNN, Butler County District Attorney Richard Goldinger revealed that the suspected assassinator at Donald Trump’s rally had already been arrested by the Secret Service and shot to death. In addition, at least one rally spectator has died and another is in a critical situation.
The shooting is investigated as an attempted assassination.
Regarding the suspect, reliable sources confirmed that the gunman was outside the area where Donald Trump conducted his campaign rally.
Following the incident, New York Police Forces have strengthened security at Trump Tower and other places in the city like the City Hall, Foley Square, etc. where people gathered to show support or opposition to Donald Trump.
After the issue was highlighted in the news, many US officials said that the incident was “violent and brutal”. Current US President Joe Biden said, “I was briefly informed of the attempted assassination during Mr. Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Pennsylvania. I’m glad he is safe”, adding “I pray for him and his family as well as all the people who attended the rally. Jill and I are very grateful to the Secret Service for taking him to a safe place. Violence is not allowed in America. As a nation, we must unite to condemn these acts”.
