A video uploaded on YouTube channel Idol Olympics titled “Child Actor Who Filmed a Chicken CF with Yoo Jae-suk, Debuts as an Idol 10 Years Later” has gone viral, reintroducing Doha to viewers as the boy who once played young Jung Woo in tvN’s Reply 1994. “I’m Doha, currently promoting as a member of BAE173,” he proudly stated.
From Commercials to K-Dramas
Doha’s entertainment journey began at just six years old when he starred in a chicken commercial with Yoo Jae-suk. He fondly remembered the comedian’s kindness, saying:
“It was a scorching day, but Yoo Jae-suk bought ice cream for all the staff and even treated everyone nearby to drinks.”
He also recalled filming Reply 1994, saying, “People used to ask if I was ‘Trash’s child actor.’ I had a broken leg at the time and remember eating old-style ice cream in retro clothes.”

Doha’s role in Bread, Love and Dreams also left an impression. Initially set for a one-time appearance, the director expanded his role:
“I ended up appearing five or six times. It felt like the drama was suddenly about me.”
A Pause for Academics, Then a Comeback
By fourth grade, Doha moved to Daegu and paused acting to focus on his studies. Remarkably, he attended a gifted education center, ranking second overall. Despite his academic path, showbiz came calling again—he was street-cast over 17 times and scouted via social media around 20 times by age 15. “My dad and I moved to Seoul so I could pursue my dream. I gave it everything I had,” he shared.

Fans and viewers flooded the comment section with praise:
- “From gifted student to idol—amazing!”
- “He really grew up beautifully.”
- “I’m the only one who got older…”
- “He was Trash’s child actor? That’s wild!”
Doha’s story stands as a testament to resilience, talent, and transformation, proving that sometimes, childhood stars truly do grow into their dreams.
