“Divorce Attorney Shin” off to a promising start, breaks JTBC’s record with its opening rating
The drama series receives praise from the audience for an impressive start.
“Divorce Attorney Shin” is a newly released JTBC drama series that started off with a bang. The series accumulated ratings of 7.3% nationwide and 8.1% in Seoul. The drama quickly surpassed other JTBC hits such as “The World of the Married” with 6.26% and “Reborn Rich” with 6.058%.
The drama boasts a different color from other dramas of the same broadcast. “Divorce Attorney Shin” draws attention with comedy and a bright atmosphere that might not be found in “The World of the Married,” “Reborn Rich” or “Sky Castle.”
“Divorce Attorney Shin” follows Shin Sung Han (Cho Seung Woo), a piano major and music professor turned divorce lawyer due to a mysterious turn of events. Despite a sudden shift in his career, Shin Sung Han still harbors an artistic spirit within him.
Male lead Cho Seung Woo is a familiar face with various appearances in “Stranger,” “The King’s Doctor” or “The Classic.” Cho Seung Woo gave a breath of fresh air with a comedy role, a shade of his acting self that has rarely been seen. Starring along Cho Seung Woo are Kim Sung Kyun (“Reply 1988”), Jung Moon Sung (“Hospital Playlist”) and Han Hye Jin. With a stellar cast and high-quality script, “Divorce Attorney Shin” was off to a good start and promises a bright future in 2023.
