As the release date for the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid” approaches, Disney has recently unveiled a new still cut from the movie.

The still cut features Ariel, played by Halle Bailey, wearing a pink hood and a sky blue dress, while Prince Eric, played by Jonah Hauer-King, sits comfortably in a carriage. However, the reaction towards the prince’s appearance has been mixed.

Whenever footage or stills from the movie have been released, opinions have been divided on Ariel’s portrayal. However, this time around, it seems like the reaction towards Prince Eric is equally as cold.

Some netizens commented that the prince looks fine, while others expressed concern that he looks too plain and lacking in chemistry with Ariel. Some even made sarcastic remarks, questioning if he had a drink or if he was just a simple coachman.
