Disney+ unveiled the cast and script reading scenes of its original series “Moving” directed by Park In-je (“Kingdom 2”), attracting great public attention from the production stage.
Based on Kang Full’s webtoon of the same name, “Moving” is a superpower action hero drama that tells about teenagers, who live in present times with hidden superpowers, and parents who hide their painful secrets in the past facing great dangers of times and generations.
First of all, famous actors, such as Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Jo In-sung and Kim Sung-kyun will play the roles of parents who hide their painful secrets in the past experienced by superpowers. Actor Ryu Seung-ryong, who has captived the hearts of K-Drama fans with his excellent acting in “Kingdom” series and “Extreme Job” will take on the role of Jang Joo-won, who cannot feel the pain and has an ability to recover quickly.
Actress Han Hyo-joo, who showed impressive acting with deep spectrum through “Treadstone”, “Beauty Inside”, and “Cold Eyes”, will act in this drama as Lee Mi-hyun, who has superhuman senses.
Especially, the actor who has exuded his unrivaled presence in various movie genres through “Mogadishu” and “The King” – Jo In Sung will play the veteran agent Kim Doo-sik with flying skills.
Actor Kim Sung-kyun, who left a great impression on the viewers with his role in “Sinkhole” and drama series “Reply“, will show a new appearance as Lee Jae-man in this new work who owns abnormal speed and strength.
Various characters that relate to incidents between parents of the past generation and children of the present time also appear. Cha Tae-hyun, who proved his charisma through various works, such as “Along With The Gods” and drama “Police University” will take on the role of Jeon Kye-do, who can generate electricity.
Showing off his strong presence through “Tazza: One Eyed Jack”, Ryu Seung-bum will act as Frank, a mysterious person who pursues people with superpowers.
In addition, the role of Choi Il-hwan, a teacher who teaches the children superpowers and hides them from being known to the public, will be portrayed by Kim Hee-won, the scene-stealer who has shown his unique acting in “Voice” and “Pawn“.
The character Min Yong-jun who has a hidden huge power, will be played by Moon Sung-geun, an actor who is recognized by many movie fans.
Children who live in the present time and have the same superpowers as their parents but don’t reveal themselves – Kim Bong-seok, Jang Hee-soo, and Lee Kang-hoon will be played by promising rookie actors Lee Jung-ha (“Nevertheless”, “Run On”), Go Yoon-jung (“Sweet Home”, “Law School”), and Kim Do-hoon (“Doctor John”, “Dark Hole”).
After participating in the script reading of “Moving” in August, Ryu Seung-ryong expressed his feelings, saying, “I am really excited, happy, and honored to participate in such a good drama. I’m looking forward to being able to work with great staff and colleagues even more. Please show us a lot of interest and support.”
Jo In-sung said, “I enjoyed the original work, and I think its unique worldview was really beautiful. I think it’s a story that can help us sympathize with each other around the world. We’ll work hard on it, so I hope you can enjoy it.”
Han Hyo-joo confessed, “It is my honor to share the wonderful worldview of Kang Full and meet with many great people through “Moving”. Perhaps this will be a genre that has not been seen in Korea so far. I’ll do my best, so please show a lot of interest.”
Disney+’s original series “Moving” will be released worldwide only through Disney+ in the second half of 2022.
