Actor Kim Soo Hyun’s highly anticipated drama “Knock-Off” still does not have a release timeline.
On May 27, Disney+ reportedly told Korean media that the drama remains in an indefinite postponement status. A representative from the platform stated, “There are no changes from our previous position. It is currently on indefinite hold.”
“Knock-Off” tells the story of a man whose life is completely turned upside down following the 1997 Asian financial crisis before eventually becoming the king of the global counterfeit market.

The series attracted major attention as Kim Soo Hyun’s next project, especially with a reported production budget of 60 billion KRW. However, all promotional plans, including the production presentation and release schedule, were canceled after the actor became embroiled in controversy surrounding his alleged private life issues connected to the late actress Kim Sae Ron.
Interest in Kim Soo Hyun’s potential return recently increased after Kim Se Ui, the head of Garosero Research Institute, was reportedly arrested on May 26 over allegations including spreading false information and defamation targeting the actor. Despite the development, Disney+ is still taking a cautious stance regarding the release of “Knock-Off.”
This is not the first time rumors about the drama’s release have surfaced. Back in March, speculation regarding its possible premiere also circulated online.
At the time, Disney+ similarly responded by saying that there were “no additional updates beyond the previous statement.”
