On July 23, a behind-the-scenes video titled “Is This the Famous Action Powerhouse? Action-Making Film with Perfect Chemistry Between Won Jin-ah and Kim Jin-young (Dex)” was released on ENA’s official channel.
The video showed actors Won Jin-ah and Dex preparing intensely for their action scenes. Overflowing with enthusiasm, Dex actively suggested movements and synced his performance with Won Jin-ah.
In a commentary, Dex admitted, “This is my first attempt at acting. I have so much respect for veteran actors. Today was my first shoot, and I really don’t think acting is something just anyone can do.” He added, “I’ll do my best to not cause any harm to this great project and the amazing actors. I hope people enjoy it when the show comes out—that would be truly rewarding.”
Previously, Dex faced criticism for his awkward walking and unnatural line delivery in the first episode of The Defects, which aired on July 21, sparking a “bad acting” controversy.
The Defects airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM and is also available exclusively on the OTT platform TVING.
