Current Whereabouts of “Lovers in Paris” Actor Who Attempted Suicide a Month Before His Wedding

Park Shin Yang, famous for his role in “Lovers in Paris”, took a break from filming in 2019 and has disappeared from TV since. Fans couldn’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and regret. On January 31, Xports News dropped an unexpected update on Park Shin Yang’s current whereabouts after his hiatus. 

He is now active as an artist. Born in 1968, the former actor recently held an art exhibition titled “The Fourth Wall.”

Xports News revealed that Park Shin Yang embarked on a Master’s degree in Fine Arts at Andong University in 2021. For the past five years, the actor has been passionately pursuing his love for painting. 

Interestingly, Park Shin Yang started his artistic journey back in 2014, and after a decade, he completed an impressive collection of over 130 paintings, leaving fans in awe. He is set to appear on “You Quiz On The Block” soon, where he’ll share intriguing insights into his journey as an artist.

Park Shin Yang entered the Korean entertainment scene relatively late, at the age of 28. However, it only took him a year to become a star, thanks to his standout performance in the 1997 work, “The Letter.” By 2004, his fame had transcended Korean borders, propelled by the overwhelming success of the iconic drama “Lovers in Paris”.

Park Shin Yang announced his marriage to the affluent Baek Hye Jin in 2002, but their romance faced opposition from many fans. Rumors circulated about Baek Hye Jin having a less-than-pleasant personality. About a month before the wedding, Park Shin Yang found himself in the emergency room due to an overdose of sleeping pills.

Speculation in the Korean media suggested that the actor may have attempted suicide under the immense pressure from public opinion. Despite the challenges, Park Shin Yang and Baek Hye Jin have defied the odds, remaining happily together and sustaining a strong marriage for over two decades.
