After voting is officially open for a day, the rankings of 9 awards of “Melon Music Awards 2021” have gradually seen some changes. Currently leading almost all categories they are nominated for, BTS is still struggling to maintain their No.1 spot in the TOP 10 from the chasing of Lim Young Woong, the soloist who is receiving huge support from the majority of middle-aged Korean fans. The gap between BTS and Lim Young Woong is only around some hundred votes, and there was a time when the winner of “Mr. Trot” Lim Young Woong even overtook BTS to get the No.1 place. As the TOP 10 voting result will directly affect the Daesang Artist Of The Year, this intense battle will continue until the vote is closed.
Meanwhile, another surprising result is also recorded in the Best Female Group category. In the vote for other awards such as “MAMA”, not Oh My Girl, but it is the rising rookie group aespa that is gaining great attention from many Korean and international fans. However, in the vote for “MMA 2021”, Oh My Girl is proving themselves as one of the most famous girl groups in Korea by leading the Best Female Group category, leaving aespa behind.
The “Melon Music Awards 2021” ceremony is scheduled to be held in the evening of December 4th and can be streamed online through many channels and platforms.
