Cube “BTOB offers a group contract fee of 6 billion won to other agencies? Not related to us”

Boy group BTOB (Seo Eunkwang, Lee Minhyuk, Lee Changsub, Im Hyunsik, Peniel, Yook Sungjae) is currently contemplating their next steps as their contracts with Cube Entertainment approach expiration

Cube Entertainment officially stated to Newsen on November 1st, “The re-signing period for some BTOB members with our company has not ended yet, and we will do our best until the contracts expire. BTOB members are reviewing various directions and sorting out the situation.”

On the same day, Ilgan Sports reported that BTOB members had contacted other management companies, offering a group contract fee of 6 billion won.

Regarding this, Cube Entertainment explained to Newsen, “The reported contract fee of 6 billion won is not related to Cube Entertainment’s standpoint.”

Meanwhile, BTOB debuted under Cube Entertainment in 2012. The six BTOB members, who faced the end of their first exclusive contract period (7 years) in 2018, decided to renew their contracts as a promise to their fans who wanted them to continue.

Over the past 11 years, BTOB has released numerous hit songs such as “Way Back Home”, “Remember That”, “It’s Okay”, “Pray (I’ll Be Your Man)”, “Missing You”, “Only One for Me”, “Beautiful Pain” and earned the fervent love of domestic and international music fans. Their most recent group album “WIND AND WISH” was released on May 2nd.
