CORTIS member Keonho has become the center of controversy after his reaction during aespa’s latest music show win drew sharp criticism from Korean netizens.
Over the weekend, aespa secured their third trophy for “Rich Man” on MBC’s Show! Music Core. While aespa could not attend due to their overseas schedule for The Fact Music Awards, the broadcast still revealed their victory. At the time, NCT’s Haechan was also a strong contender with his solo track “CRZY.”
Standing directly behind Haechan was Keonho, whose subtle lip movement was captured by the camera. Though brief, the clip quickly spread across social media, with many interpreting his expression as a scowl. Critics claimed it appeared disrespectful to aespa, sparking heated online discussions.
The video soon went viral on Pann, where Korean netizens voiced their disapproval. Some argued that, as a rookie, Keonho should have been more cautious about his demeanor on stage, particularly when senior artists were being honored. Others resorted to personal attacks, targeting his appearance and presence.
