At midnight on August 11, the MV for “GO!”—the intro track of CORTIS’s debut album “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES“—was uploaded on HYBE Labels’ official YouTube channel. Featuring a minimal trap beat layered with intense synthesizer sounds, “GO!” is a song all members contributed to in both lyrics and composition. The track boasts self-assured lines such as, “We don’t need any other sign,” “Bring the new beat, bring the new hit, bring the new sheet,” “Callin’ a new wave, like Poseidon,” and “Watch me, I’m gon’ spit it.”
Some lyrics reflect the members’ personal experiences, including, “Ever since I was little I been the neighborhood weirdo.” One particular line—*”Wanna make a hit like a hitman”*—caught online attention for referencing HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who is widely known in the music industry by his producer name “Hitman Bang”.
CORTIS emphasizes their identity as a “young creator crew” that co-creates music, videos, and other key content. True to that vision, the group co-directed the “GO!” music video themselves. Based on footage they planned, filmed, and edited freely during their trainee days, the MV was shot in Los Angeles and captures the quirky, uninhibited spirit of teenagers. It also incorporates dynamic, fast-paced techniques such as stop-motion filming.

Following the MV release, CORTIS will drop a conceptual performance film for “GO!” at midnight on August 12, focusing on the choreography created collaboratively by the members.
Composed entirely of teenage members—James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon, and Keonho—the five-member group will release their title track “What You Want” on August 18 at 6 PM KST. Their debut album “COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES” will be officially released on September 8 at 6 PM KST.
