Controversial Moment At BTS’s Jin’s Special Hug Event After Discharge: Fan Tries To Kiss Him
BTS's eldest member Jin recently completed his military service and returned to civilian life.
On June 12th, he was discharged from the 5th Infantry Division’s training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, where he had been serving as an assistant instructor for 18 months. His return marks him as the first BTS member to fulfill his mandatory military duties.
On June 13th, Jin attended the “2024 FESTA” event at the Jamsil Arena in Seoul, where he reunited with ARMYs (fandom). The event, which celebrates BTS’s debut anniversary, featured a unique hugging session where Jin embraced 1,000 fans. Wearing a cute sign that read “Hug me“, Jin charmed fans with his boyish charm and short hair, a remnant of his military service.
The event area around Jamsil was bustling with ARMYs from around the world, all clad in purple outfits and accessories, enduring the heat to celebrate BTS’s 11th debut anniversary and Jin’s discharge.
Despite the generally positive atmosphere, some moments during the hug event stirred controversy.
In several videos and photos that surfaced online, a fan was seen getting uncomfortably close to Jin, appearing as though she might kiss him. This sparked outrage among netizens, who felt that the fan overstepped boundaries and made Jin uncomfortable. The incident highlighted the importance of respecting personal space, even in enthusiastic fan interactions.
