Warner Bros. Korea reveals comments of Korean stars (V, Rosé, Song Mino, etc.) on the movie “Elvis”
V, Rosé, Song Mino, Sunwoo Jung-a and Son Ho-young drew global fans’ attention with their passionate heart toward Elvis Presley, the figure to be portrayed in the new movie “Elvis”.
On June 23rd, Warner Bros. Korea released K-pop stars’ comments on the movie “Elvis” through their official channel. These comments are made by global K-pop idols, including BTS’s V, BLACKPINK’s Rosé, Winner’s Song Mino, musician Sunwoo Jung-a and first-generation K-pop star Son Ho-young (g.o.d).
Each of them praised and showed respect for the worldwide legendary star Elvis Presley as well as raised expectations for the “Elvis”, the film that tells about the life of Elvis Presley.
BTS’s V said, “I’m trying to find and listen to all of his big hits and hidden masterpieces”. BLACKPINK’s Rosé also expressed her admiration for Elvis Presley, saying “My favorite song is ‘HOUND DOG’. I first listened to it while on a family trip to Gold Coast, Australia”.
In addition, Winner’s Song Mino shared, “I want to become an artist like him, who changed the public’s opinion on popular music with his innovative songs and performances during his time”. Sunwoo Jung-a said, “I learned how to convey deep feelings in a simple way from Elvis’s songs”, showing expectations for the movie.
Son Ho-young also expressed his special feelings for the release of “Elvis”, saying “I think it will be an opportunity for everyone to know the true appearance of Elvis, not the Elvis that we knew only from his outside.”
Meanwhile, the movie “Elvis”, which contains everything about the “icon of the times” Elvis Presley, will premiere in theaters on the 13th of next month.
